About this concert

The Argentine composer Martín Palmeri wrote his Misa Tango (Misa a Buenos Aires) in 1996: the Latin mass set to the rhythms of the tango, with bandoneon, piano and strings. The choir performed it with the composer himself at the piano and Gilberto Pereyra on bandoneon, under Michel Piquemal and Nayer Nagui, in the Great Hall of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina and in the Basilique in Heliopolis.
