About this concert
Where it began. Nayer Nagui founded the Cairo Celebration Choir in 2000 with about seventy singers, and its first public appearance was a Christmas concert: carols and seasonal songs in his own arrangements, performed with soloists of the Cairo Opera Company and the Cairo Opera Orchestra. The evening became an annual tradition at the Cairo Opera House and the Sayed Darwish Theatre in Alexandria that the choir has kept every year since.
